A Large Antique Single Weave Open Chitimacha Basket, St. Mary Parish, Louisiana, in the "Turtle Neck Tie" pattern, diameter 8.5in., base 12 in. x 12 in., note: torn at lip, somewhat worn having been used as a sewing basket. E800/1200 Provenance: Purchased from the Indian lady known as "Delphine" who identified the pattern.
