A Large Imperial Russian Handwrought .875 Silver and Niello Ladle, 1862, Moscow, Ye Blyumberg, assayer (1841-86), marked on back of flat handle, the upperface with niello decoration of a running grapevine against a punchwork ground, applied female mask-faced bifurcated scroll bracket at handle's juncture and supporting the large flat circular bowl, the interior fitted with an ornately embossed gilt liner of stylized floral, scallop scroll, pellet and fleur-de-lis borders, against a punchwork ground, length 16.25in., diameter 4.75in , weight 12 troy ozs., 16 dwts.
