A Large Pair of Sevres Gilt-Bronze-Mounted Porcelain Covered Garniture Vases in the Louis XVI Taste, 1837, decorated in 1844, the antique gilt-bronze mounts later, the obverse with galants reserves, landscape reserves on the reverses, gilt foliate decoration on a bleu du Roi ground, gilt- bronze laurel wreath foot and plinth bases, Sevres 1837 factory mark in grey transfer-printed ellipse; blue transfer-printed Louis-Philippe decorating mark for 1844. Rouge-de-fertransfer printed Chateau de Fontainbleau mark, height 26.5in, width 13 in., depth 9 in.
