A Large Renaissance-Style Carved Gilt Frame, probably late 19th Century after the masterwork created for the Grand Duchess of Tuscany, Elenora da Toledo's, installation of the 'Madonna della Sedia' by Raphael, in the Palatine Galleries of Palazzo Pitti, Florence, in the mid-16th Century gilded and gilt-painted softwoods, carved with a variety of leaf moldings, strapwork cartouches, shells, oak garlands, acanthus foliations and floral crowned nymphs' heads, in fine condition, height 58 in., width 48.5 in., depth 7.5 in., aperture 28 in. diameter.
