A Louis XV Oysterwood Veneer Bureau de Dame, late 18th c., stamped "P Roussel", the rectangular top above a serpentine outlined slant lid displaying complex veneered patterns, the interior stepped with drawers, open compartments, and with concealed well below, the frieze containing a pair of drawers centered by a blind drawer and over a long drawer on cabriole legs, height 38 in., width 38.5in., depth 21 in. E14000/18000 Note: Pierre Roussel became a maitre in 1745.
