A Louis XV-Style Gilt Bronze-Mounted Japanese Imari Porcelain Jardinière, 19th c., painted in the typical palette with a continuous outdoor scene below a wide band of scrolling chrysanthemums and shaped panels enclosing leafy vines, the robust foliate mounts encircling the bowl¹s rim and continuing down the sides to create handles ending in stylized commedia del¹ arte masks, height 13 1/4 in., width 18 1/2 in. Note: Interior repaired.
