A Louis XV-Style Giltwood Parlour Suite, mid-19th century comprising a settee and four fauteuils, each crest surmounted by a cartouche with trailing floral vines, the padded arms above a serpentined outlined seat on cabriole legs, retaining the original Aubusson upholstery, height 43.5in., width 76 in., depth 30 in., fauteuils height 40 in. E7000/10000 Provenance: Governor Henry Carter Stuart of Virginia (1914-1918), purchased by Mrs. Stuart in Paris for use in the Governor's Mansion in Richmond.
