Note: The suite presented here, lots 478, 479 and 480, is based on the design of a parlor suite by Georges Jacob (1739-1814) for Louis XVI's Salon des Jeux, Château de Saint-Cloud. Two fauteuils are conserved in the Musée du Louvre, Paris (OA 9449 a & b) and another at the Metropolitan Museum, New York (accession number 07.225.107).
