A Louisiana 'Plum Pudding' Mahogany and Inlaid Armoire, c. 1800, secondary woods cedar, cypress and tulip poplar, molded cornice, frieze inlaid with chickory flowers, the interior fitted for shelves and a belt of two drawers, scalloped apron on cabriole legs, height 81 in., width 48 in., depth 22 in. E6000-8000 Note: The rounded corners of the cornice, the scalloping of the skirt, and the squared cabriole legs in this example are similar to those in an armoire in the collection of Dr. George Crozat at Houmas House Plantation, and sold as lot 368 on May 17, 2003.
