A Makkum Hand-Painted Lobbed and Lidded Porcelain Urn, late 19th c., decorated in the typical Makkum style with three reserves depicting avian and floral motifs, and blue scrollwork all over, the lid applied with a blue acorn-shaped finial, marked in blue underglaze "Makkum" (Makkum, Netherlands) at base, and with paper label "A. Jansen Kunsthandel Sneek" at interior of lid, height 12.5in., diameter 7 in.
