A Mexican Sterling Silver Seven Piece Tea and Coffee Service, Lopez, Taxco, including a kettle on stand, teapot, coffee pot, creamer, covered sugar, waste bowl, and tray, plain lobed spherical forms raised on openwork scroll bases, shaped oval footed tray with handles, all pieces with foliate scroll borders, kettle height 12.5in., tray length 29.5in., combined weight approximately 258 troy ozs. E1000/1500 Note: Gerado Lopez in the 1950's was reported to have had one of the "best silver shops" in Taxco. Ref.: Mexican Silver, Morrill and Berk, p. 238.
