A Monumental Chinese Carved Lacquered Polychrome and Gilt-Decorated Twelve Panel "Coromandel" Screen, 1922, "Four Friends in Winter", carved and painted to the front with figures in an elaborate garden setting framed within a border of paired gilt dragons and flaming pearls above twelve roundels, the reverse with a continuous landscape with the Three Friends of Winter: prunus, pine and bamboo set among rocks, lingzhi, iris, and roses, inscribed "Four Friends in Winter", dated Winter 1922 and sealed upper right en verso, 108 in. x 235 in.
