A Monumental Chinese Embroidery Panel, late 19th/early 20th c., shaped panel worked in satin stitch and padded satin stitch with couched gold and silver thread and down feather and metal disc highlights, depicting birds on flowering branches above birds in water, the sides and bottom banded en suite with dragons and sea creatures with "jewel" set eyes, height 47 in., width 66 1/2 in., mounted to a silk covered canvas stretcher, overall 53 in. x 70 in.
