A Monumental Japanese Imari Porcelain Trumpet Vase, Meiji Period, c. 1880, the ovoid body with a tall banded neck and flared foliate rim, decorated with scenic figural panels, birds, butterflies and flowers, base signed Hichozan Shinpo Zo, label affixed to side reading: "Exhibition of Mrs. Samuel Delgado donated by Mr. Isaac Delgado, January, 1912"; height 42 in.

  • Provenance: Provenance: Purchased at the 1965 Delgado Museum of Art auction of deaccessioned objects. Delgado is now the New Orleans Museum of Art.
