A Monumental Meissen Porcelain Figural Ewer, c. 1870, crossed swords mark underglaze blue, similar to models by J.J. Kaendler, the shell- form neck and foliate handle surmounted by a putto, the body forming an ocean scene from which emerge figures of hippocampi and a mermaid presided over by Neptune seated on a shell, resting on a base with dolphins, height 26 in., width 16 in., depth 8 in., note: restorations and some loss.
