A Monumental New Orleans Rococo Carved Rosewood Bedstead, mid-19th c., attrib. to William McCracken, the headboard having a molded arched crest surmounted by a foliate cartouche, cluster column posts with lobed and turned finials, shaped rails with scrolling leaves and palmette cartouches, casters, height 75 in., length 78 in., width 61 7/8 in. Provenance: Descended in the family of Marie Emeranthe Becnel Brou Hermann (1776-1851).
