A Monumental Portuguese Carved Mahogany Full Tester Bed in the Renaissance Taste, mid-19th c., having antique drapery, the stepped cornice above an elaborate frieze of scrolling vines and flowers with rosettes at each corner, scrolled brackets below, twist-turned posts, the headboard with an arched crest and center cabochon cartouche above a series of shaped raised panels, the footboard and rails of conforming design, heavily carved moldings resting on suppressed bun feet, height 117in., width 58.5in., length 85.5in.
