A Monumental Replica of the Louis de Silvestre (French, 1675-1760) Allegorical Ceiling Painting for the Audience Chamber of the Dresden Residential Palace, Alwyn van der Linde (Dutch, 20th c.), oil on canvas, 15 ft. X 45 ft. Commissioned by the Mississippi Commission for International Cultural Exchange for the "Glory of Baroque Dresden" exhibit at the Mississippi Arts Pavilion in 2004. The original painting was executed by the Saxon Court painter Louis de Silvestre for Augustus the Strong, and was destroyed in the Allied fire bombing of Dresden in 1945. **Estimate Available upon Request Note: Alwyn van der Linde exhibits in prominent galleries in Madrid, Rome and Tokyo.
