A Near-Matching Pair of Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Vases, 19th c., the baluster form bodies decorated throughout in polychrome enamels with shaped figural panels reserved on a gilt ground with scrolling floral sprays interspersed with bird and butterfly decoration, each shoulder molded with four Buddhistic lion mask-ring handles on floral petal diaper ground, the elongated necks and feet with figural and bird-and-flower reserve panels, height 17 1/4 in. and 17 1/2 in. Note: Restoration to one neck.
