A New Orleans Coin Silver Coffee Pot, by Christopf Christian Kuchler for Hyde & Goodrich, c. 1853-58, baluster form with strawberry vine repouss‚ on body and spout, hollowcast insulated scroll handle, scalloped rim, slightly domed cover, on a circular foot, engraved script initials "MCM", marked on the bottom "K" in cartouche, "HYDE & GOODRICH" in arc, over "MANUFACTURERS" in a rectangle, over "NEW ORLEANS" in a complementary arc, and "WARRANTED/PURE COIN" in a serrated rectangle with pointed ends, height 9.75 in., weight 27 troy ozs. 8 dwts.
