carved frame with wavy molded base, the white serpentine fronted marble over a long drawer carved with a floral filled fluted urn, the four corners with floral and foliate pendants, on C-scroll legs, curvate stretchers, gadrooned urn finial, good patina throughout, h.-73", w.-45", d.-23 1/2". Note: A wonderful and very similar duchesse dressing table attributed to Prudent Mallard of similar form and with the same type of bead and floral carved ornament is illustrated in plate 286 of "American Furniture of the 19th Century", by Celia Jackson Otto.
