A Newcomb College Art Pottery Bowl, 1922, decorated by Sadie Irvine, low open septagonal form with each point modeled with a spiderwort blossom and vertical leaf, the reserve modeled and glazed with a floral roundel, matte glaze with blue, green, pink and yellow underglaze, base marked with Newcomb cipher, decorator's mark, registration number MV 52, and shape number 105, height 3in., diameter 8.5in. E3000-5000 Provenance: Descended in the family of the Newcomb Pottery decorator Elizabeth Rogers (1871-1933).
