A Newcomb College Art Pottery Matte Glaze Bowl, 1914, decorated by Alma Mason, modeled in low relief with daffodils, blue, green and yellow underglaze, base marked with Newcomb cipher, decorator's mark, Joseph Meyer's potter's mark, reg. no. CY9, shape no. 261 and "C" for buff clay body, height 2 1/2 in., diameter 5 in.

- Provenance: Descended in the notable Judd family of Oneonta, NY and Atlanta, GA. Acquired from the Judd estate by Evelyn Myers, mother of the current owner. ~ Note: Graduating in 1907 with a Diploma in Art, Alma Mason enrolled in the Graduate Art program of Newcomb College, session of 1907-1909 She was listed as an Art Craftsman from 1910-1921 with examples of her pottery designs being exhibited at the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco.
