A Newcomb College Art Pottery Semi-Matte Glaze Bowl, 1912, the rim and center of the blue-green bowl are decorated with a raised clover flower design, the base marked with the Newcomb cypher, Joseph Meyer's potter's mark number FL34, the "B" indicating a buff body withsemi-matte glaze and Anna Frances Simpson's decorator's mark, with attractive overall craquelure, height 3.375in., diameter 9 in. E2500/3500 Note: Simpson worked at the school as an art craftsman between 1908 and 1915.
