A Newcomb College Art Pottery Tyg, 1901, beautifully painted with daffodil blossoms by Harriet Coulter Joor, high glaze with green and blue underglaze on a white clay body, base marked with Newcomb cipher Joor's decorator's mark, Joseph Meyer's potter's mark, registration number "F85", triangular 1901 date mark, "U" for white clay body, and an "X" indicating that the piece was not for sale, but was reserved for the decorator or the college, height 5.625in., width 6.625in., diameter 5.875in.
