A Pair of American Rococo Cast Iron Settees, c. 1886-1920, New Orleans, marked "Hinderers Iron Works, NO, LA", with scalloped backs and arms and repeating pattern of interlocking arches with bud terminals, pierced scrollwork seat, scalloped rail and cabriole legs, height 35 1/2 in., width 42 in., depth 15 in. E3000-5000 Note: Hinderer's Iron Works provided a variety of fencing, architectural elements and garden furniture to the region in the late 19th c. A collection of newspaper catalogs from Hinderer's entitled "Ornamental Iron Vases", "Fountains", and "Lawn Requisites" was offered in these rooms as lot 508A on August 3, 2002.
