A Pair of American Rococo Cast Iron Settees, mid-19th c., probably New York, after a design introduced by Carron Ironworks, Scotland (1759-1982), scrolled foliate crests, interlocking arched latticework back, flared C scrolled arms, pierced C and S scrolled seat, cabriole legs with foliate brackets and scrolled toes, height 35 1/2 in., width 44 in., depth 16 in. Provenance: Descended in a New Orleans Family and once installed in the garden of an Uptown New Orleans home.
