A Pair of Antique Italian Bronzes of the "Furietti Centaurs", after the 1st and 2nd c. Roman Sculptures, one height 52 in., width 40 1/2 in., depth 18 in.; the other height 50 in., width 40 1/2 in., depth 18 in.; on rouge marble rectangular bases.

  • Notes: Note: The bronzes on which the present lot is based were discovered during the 1736 excavation at Hadrian's Villa, Tivoli. They are now housed at The Capitoline Museum, Rome.
