A Pair of Brussels Scenic Stencil-Gilt and Polychrome-Decorated Porcelain Vases, c. 1820, by Frederic Theodore Faber, signed in gilt script, each urn form depicting a different scene of Brussels, inscribed "Vue de l'Hotel de Ville de Bruxelles" and "Vue de l'Eglise de Ste. Gudule à Bruxelles" respectively, finely and heavily gilded with neoclassical stencil motifs throughout, satyr mask handles with rosette terms, the reverse with claret ground and gilt stenciled reserves with griffins, height 11 3/4 in., diameter 7 3/4 in.
