A Pair of Chinese Bronze Horse Figures, Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220), Ordos Region, each curvaceous, noble figure standing with raised knotted tail, short trimmed mane and forelock, having alert eyes, flared nostrils and open mouth, allover encrustation, each height 2 3/4 in., presented facing one another on a fitted wood stand within a fitted box. Note: one with partial tail loss; the other with repair to left foreleg.
