A Pair of Chinese Carved Hardstone Figures of Buddhistic Lions, the imposing beasts seated on their back haunches upon rectangular plinths, each facing forward with mouth open and teeth bared, wearing a belled, ribbon-hung collar encircling the chest and cascading down the back side, the female with its left forepaw restraining a small "cub", the male with its right forepaw resting atop a brocade ball, height 27 1/2 in., width 10 1/2 in., depth 14 1/4 in.
