A Pair of Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Baluster Vases, probably Republican Period, early 20th c., ovoid bodies with flared necks raised on splayed circular feet, the neck and shoulders with applied gilt scroll scepter handles with ribbon tied bats and shou medallions, delicately painted with quail amid rocks and chrysanthemums, each base with a Qianlong four character mark in overglaze blue reserved on a pale turquoise ground, height 8 3/8 in.
