A Pair of Chinese Famille Verte Octagonal "Pie-Crust Rim" Dishes, probably Kangxi (1662-1722), each painted in polychrome and gilt enamels with the central roundel depicting a maiden seated at a table playing a qin beneath a flowering pine, observed by a male admirer and an attendant in a pavilion, the molded rim banded with alternating butterfly and fish cartouches on a seeded-green floral ground, width 13 3/4 in., each presented within a fitted wood stand. Note: Restorations.
