A Pair of Empire-Style Gilt-Bronze-Mounted Porcelain Urns, mid-20th c., the polished black campagna-form vessels ornamented with gadrooned collars, appliqué friezes of Bacchantes dancing amid flaming braziers, ram's head handles surmounted by putti musicians, and acanthus appliqués over palmette-lobed feet, on matching black porcelain pedestals with similar gilt-bronze appliqués of griffins flanking candelabra, and anthemion ornaments, with a pearled honeysuckle frieze on the base plinth, height 29 in., width 13 in., depth 12 3/4 in.
