A Pair of Fine Italian ³Carnival² Motif Carved Walnut Armchairs, mid-19th c., each with arched shell-carved crest, ornately carved and pierced back, foliate C scrolls, one centered with a ³Man in the Moon² mask and trumpet, the other with a trumpet and ringed standard, acanthus scrolled arms, serpentine seat rail, acanthus-carved cabriole legs, scrolled toes, well carved throughout.
