A Pair of Japanese Imari Porcelain 'Black Ship' Bowls, probably 18th c., steep rounded sides vibrantly enameled to the exteriors in iron red, green, aubergine, black and gilt with eight Dutchmen on a rich red ground beside a three-master on a white ground, interior with underglaze blue central medallion and trellis diaper rim, bases with ribbon wrapped double scrolls, height 2 5/8 in., diameter 4 3/4 in.
