A Pair of Limed Oak Coronation Stools, branded on bottom "G.R. VI" with a crown, rectangular upholstered seats, lambs tongue chamfered square legs, with canted foot, height 18 1/2 in., width 18 1/4 in., depth 12 in.
- Notes: Note: B. North & Son of West Wycombe provided much of the seating furniture for the May 12, 1937 coronation of George VI. A chair related to the stools seen here was used at the coronation by Queen Mary, from the Collection of H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, which sold at Christie¹s, London, lot 213, on June 14, 2006.
