A Pair of Monumental Continental Black Marble Covered Urns on Integral Pedestals, mid-19th c., the covers crowned with rampant eagles, above ovoid vessels decorated with lion masks and bouquets of roses, the satyr-mask handles surmounted by winged dragons; each vase supported on intertwined dolphins, the pedestals with palmette capitals on fluted shafts, lotus-leaf bases, and octagonal tongue-engraved plinths, height of each 87 1/2 in., base diameter 17 in.
