A Pair of Napoleon III Gilt Bronze Vases, c. 1855-1870, executed in high Renaissance taste, each beaded everted rim above an ovoid body, displaying lion's masks, the shoulder joined by scrolled handles surmounted by cherubs and terminating in female masks, the circular plinth ornamented by mythological winged creatures, on scrolled and paw feet now mounted as a lamps, electrified, height 21.75in., overall 29 in.
