A Pair of Patinated and Gilt Bronze Double Arm Argand Lamps, c. 1825, possibly by Messenger of England, marked Alfred Welles & Co., Boston, retailer, having simple urn-shaped fonts supported by turned standards elevated on plinths with rosette mounts on stepped bases, the arms embellished with applied scrolls, retaining the original surface, with later globes and prisms; now electrified, height 17 in. length 18 in., width 6.5in.
