A Pair of Staffordshire Figural Groups, c. 1790, "Rural Pastimes" attributed to the Wood Family of Burslem, each figure with a young couple seated on a rocky ledge before leafy and floral treed bocages, the bagpipes with a spotted dog, the drummer with a book, mounted on square pedestals inscribed "Rural Pastime"; painted in soft enamels, height 8 in. E1500/2000 Provenance: Wynn A. Sayman, bearing labels, with 1989 receipt.
