A Pair of William and Mary Carved Walnut Hall Chairs, late 17th c., each with a tall back with elaborate C-scroll and foliate scroll crest above a caned back with a chain of demilune supports containing foliate scrolls and flanked by barley twist stiles, trapezoidal seat with fruit needlepoint on ivory ground, front volute-carved legs with projecting acanthus-carved knees centering a C-scroll, and foliate scroll stretcher matching the crest, barley twist H-stretcher and rear splayed legs, height 50 in., width 19 in., depth 19.5in.
