A Rare American Classical Coin Silver Tea Caddy, Eoff & Shepherd for Ball, Tompkins & Black, New York, c. 1852-1853, marked "BALL TOMPKINS & BLACK" in arch, above "N.YORK" in a rectangle above "E&S" in a rectangle, a shaped oval example in the late 18th c. style with flat chased Rococo Revival cartouches and borders, removable cast naturalistic floral finial on the hinged cover, engraved script initials on front, height 5 1/4 in., width 4 7/8 in., weight 13.75 troy ozs.
