A Rare American Classical Mahogany Gentleman's Dressing Bureau, early 19th c., attributed to Duncan Phyfe, New York, original obelisk supports having an associated mirror, white marble top, the frieze drawer with divided interior; pair of molded doors with brass atragal, enclosing three fitted linen shelves, tapering columnar stiles, on blocked feet, poplar secondary wood, height 79 3/4 in., width 41 in., depth 22 in. Note: Marble top inscribed "Howard" in black paint.
