Note : Charles Eastlake's design for this chest appears in his 1876 opus, Hints on Household Taste. Eastlake's prescription for moldings to lend a ""picturesque character"", sides that project beyond the drawer faces, usage of ring pulls, and drawers no deeper than six inches, are all Eastlake elements fulfilled in this example.
