Description:

A Rare American Renaissance Highly Carved Oak Sideboard, mid-19th c., possibly carved by Joseph Alexis Bailly, Philadelphia, the shield crest centered with a game bird trophée flanked by scrolls and hounds, two graduated shelves with foliate panel backsplash, bracket supports, inset white marble top, chamfered corners, two frieze drawers with lion head blocks, cupboard doors with game panels flanked by putto terms, carved blocked plinth, height 95 in., width 69 1/2 in., depth 26 1/2 in.
