A Rare American Rococo Carved Rosewood Library Table, 1850-1860, New York, attributed to John Henry Belter, "elliptical" serpentine white marble top on paired and scrolled trestle supports joined by conforming stretcher with a lobed finial, height 31 in., width 46 in., depth 27 in.

  • Notes: Note: The distinctive elliptical top and finely carved foliate frieze on the present lot relate closely to those on the well-known group of tables attributed to John Henry Belter, most notably a center table in the parlor at Rosalie, Natchez.
