A Rare and Important American Neo-Grec Carved Walnut Cabinet, c. 1865-1870, attributed to Daniel Pabst, Philadelphia, secondary woods maple and poplar, the rectilinear top with canted corners above a lappeted frieze containing a drawer, the door with cruciform glazing bars centered by a monogrammed shield within a wreath of grapes, the pilasters carved with strong classical maiden terms, each head adorned with a laurel band, on a molded plinth, height 54 in., width 44 in., depth 23.5in.
