Description:
A Rare Chinese Earthenware Model of a Spotted Chin Dog, possibly Qianlong (1736-1795), the elegant figure seated on its haunches wearing a ribbon-tied, ruffled collar around its neck, having an alert, noble face with a short muzzle, modeled with an open mouth revealing a realistic set of tiny sharp teeth, its back hair and tail stylized in resemblance of that of a foo dog, with an overall cream crackle glaze with manganese highlights, height 12 in. Note: Condition. Both front legs and the left back paw have been reattached.
