Lotrop's looking glass manufactory, the rectangular mirror plate within a molded frame, the scrolled crest displaying a gilt eagle, the pediment of a conforming design, retaining original surface, mirror plate and backboard, small losses to paper label, height 27 in., depth 14.5in. E1500/2000 Note: A Federal mirror, c. 1800-1810, labeled by George Dean of Salem, agent for "S. Lothrop's Looking Glass Manufactory," also in Salem, is illustrated in American Antiques from Israel Sack, vol. VII, 1983, p. 1904
